Essentially Incredible: The Benefits of the Organic Essential Oils in Boditonic

It's in the name, Essential, immediately invoking a feeling of trust, confidence and necessity. Sure, and the aroma is clean, fresh, almost intoxicating, but are essential oils really all they're cracked up to be? Absolutely. 

 

Let's do a quick dive into the benefits of the various essential oils utilized in each flavor of Boditonic. Before we do, however, it's worth noting all the essential oils we use are Aromatherapeutic grade and all but the Roman Chamomile are certified organic as well. 

 

Original, Boditonic...

Fresh Ginger: Both fiery and fortifying, ginger essential oil is a helpful oil when one is feeling overwhelmed and exhausted from stress. It quickly warms up the body and is highly indicated for individuals suffering from ailments caused by cold and damp conditions. It fires up the digestive system and disperses stagnant states, it moves around circulation and is very helpful for chronically cold extremities or those with a sluggish lymphatic system.

 

Lemon Grass: Bright, refreshing aroma, cleansing and stimulating for the body with antiseptic and astringent properties. Great use for dealing with stress, acne, muscle aches or oily skin. Its properties are also used to treat athlete’s foot, excessive perspiration, flatulence, scabies and even substitute as an insect repellent.

 

Ylang Ylang Extra: Sweet and floral aroma, it is an all-in-one: antibacterial, antidepressant, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, cell proliferant, disinfectant, expectorant, nervine and vulnerary. Ideal for dealing with: acne, allergies, candida, depression, fever, headache, hysteria, insomnia, muscle aches and pains, scars, anger, stress, and tension.

 

Haitian Vetiver: Soothing for mind and body, it is useful to help with anxiety, depression and has demonstrated in a study from 2001 by Dr. Terry Friedman MD to improve brain activity and reduce the symptoms in ADHD diagnosed subjects. In addition to its calming and stabilizing effects, it also offers anti-inflammatory properties that are helpful in dealing with joint pain and swelling.

Bulgarian Lavender: An extremely therapeutic grade comparable to the rest of the Lavender Population; not only is it remarkably gentle and effective, it is practically a universally beloved aroma. Commonly used to relieve headaches, cramps, and muscular aches and pains, it is best known to relieve anxiety, stress, and insomnia as well as respiratory congestion. It is also associated with burns and healing of the skin as it has antiseptic and analgesic properties which will ease the pain of a burn and prevent infection. However because of its analgesic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiphlogistic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antineuralgic and sedative properties it can also be used to treat: burns, eczema, acne, colic, rash, fevers, cuts, dermatitis, dysmenorrhea, earache, inflammations, and even insect bites.
